Joshua Johnson the Artist
Joshua was born at home to Jeff & Lorraine Johnson in 1992. Josh grew up surrounded by artistic talent. His father, Jeff Johnson, a professional artist is known for his Crystal Kinetic art style that changes images as you walk by. Older brother, Nick Johnson, tutored under world famous Sonia Torres and painted professionally for about four years now owns Harmony Design, a web and graphic design firm. Like Johann Sebastian Bach who stood out amongst his family of musicians, Josh seems destined to follow this path in his family. With ease he has picked up the fine art brush and paints with brilliant color and style.
Like other kids Josh enjoys playing outside, biking, swimming, playing hide and go seek. He has a unique fondness for observing nature which is seen in his art. Compared to his peers Josh is a deeply religious young boy. Raised as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian he has learned that God as his Creator is first and most important in his life.
Joshua acquired the love for art through his father, Jeff Johnson. Inspired by a trip to Sea World Josh decided he wants to be Marine Biologist someday. Encouraged by his father Josh began to paint sea life to reflect his love for the field. Josh's natural gift and artistic talent was realized after his first piece of art was made public Spring of 2006. Whether Josh pursues marine biology as a career or not, he is making a statement in the art world today.
Josh's first oil painting of an Angel Fish was quickly sold at the 'Old Town Gallery' in Scottsdale, Arizona. Josh's third piece, a close up of a "Water Lilly" is already spoken for by a private collector. Collectors are already getting in line to buy Josh's artwork as he becomes more and more known.
